Today I woke up and decided, okay yes I wasn't exactly doing anything of great importance, but even so I was going to put my favourite things on and go into town like I had something of great importance to do and basically just show everyone how good I looked today. Although by the time I'd walked all the way into town my hair was flat as a pancake and my skirt had ridden up so much it barely fitted into the mini category my bronzer had been blown off and my new olive coloured converse (£6 from 'Primark' but whose telling?) were rubbing like nobodies business.
The grey and white Tie Dye top is from 'Topshop' and I think it was about £18, it's a size 6 but still really baggy so I turned it into an off the shoulder top. I literally do this with every jumper/tshirt/top/dress just because it makes you look a bit bustier and if you're an apple shape and with a bigger bottom half than top half it just instantly levels you out a bit. Honestly I've been doing this for about ten years and it never fails to look good. Make sure you get a well fitted bra though that will hold up with only one strap on. The skirt is my new favourite black tube skirt from 'Topshop' for £20, assorted bangles from 'Chlobo', 'Elle', 'Pandora' and various gift shops in the Lake District. The belt is my favourite 'Roxy' leather belt that I got from the 'Roxy' store in Newquay when I was having a really bad day and my friend persuaded me to go back and buy it even though it was about £28 but I'm so glad she did because I literally wear it with everything, day or night. It has cut out flowers on it which stops it being boring and each petal can be turned into a belt hole so it fits whether you're having a fat day or a skinny day.
Make up wise I went for simple and tanned (Devon is all about keeping it natural) so for eyes I used 'Bootycall' all over the eyelid and inner corners and 'Tease' on the outer corner and then I put 'Busted' behind my top eyelashes and below, all by 'Urban Decay'. If, like me, you have blue-green eyes you'll want to make them stand out and I find that matte taupe's and brown-purple shimmers really help bring them out. Any eye colour benefits from a pale cream shimmer in the corner of their eye and it's a good all over colour for building darker colours on or when you want to go for the natural look because the shimmer catches the line so you still look like you've made some kind of effort and the cream brings out the whites of your eyes helping you look healthier and more awake. I brushed some of 'Benefit's Hula Bronzer' over my forehead, nose and cheeks and worked some of 'Nars Orgasm' into the apples of my cheeks.
Lastly, I lightly backcombed the roots of my hair for a bit of a lift and then twisted my fringe into a plait and kirby gripped it into place (not that you can see that very important detail from the picture)
And Voila!
Bella
