Spa Day

I took a girly trip to Wales last week for a spa day and literally spent about six hours in heaven. We went to an old castle in Ruthin where they have hot tubs with natural springs in the grounds and a hotel above.

We had a deep tissue massage and got our nails done and had a chocolate and orange foot scrub (chocolate and feet shouldn't work but it did) and then spent about three hours going from one hot tub to another, to the sauna, to the steam room and back again. I felt like a seal! They brought us champagne and robes and we had lunch lying on a massive four poster bed feeling like we were kids from MTV's Super Sweet Sixteen.

Their make up range of choice was 'Bare Minerals' which is something I've half heartidly tried once and didn't think much of. If I'm wearing foundation it's because my skin needs the coverage not a veil shimmer of powder. My friend raves about it but she's got perfect skin so I don't doubt that it works for her but it was a big nothing for me and I don't think it works well if you've got dry skin.

After several hours lying around like beached whales we left and promtly fell asleep in the car as if we'd been running a marathon!
