Up until now wild boars wouldn't have stopped me going out and staying there till the first train home arrived, I didn't really know what the positives of a whisk were and I mostly stuck to 'The Only Way Is Essex' and 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians'. I knew something had changed when my sister and her eighteen year old friends asked me if I wanted to go out with them and I said no because it was raining which is an excuse I find pitiful when other people use it. I also couldn't be bothered with the idea of getting trampled on, slapping over eager boys away and spending most of the night waiting in line at the bar. All of these things are very exciting when you're eighteen but after five years of going out four times a week quite frankly I think I've earned the right to stay in for a Winter.
Instead I found myself sat on the rug by the fire in my PJ's with my best friend and a packet of hob nobs at eight o'clock. I'd pre-recorded our favourite reality show 'The Housewives Of Orange County' so we watched six episodes one after the other, that's SIX hours of reality TV! And it was bliss.
This is my lastest creation: a lemon victoria sponge with a lemon centre and a lemon icing top. I don't even like lemon but the person I was making it for didn't like chocolate so I had to think of an alternative.
I went into 'Marks & Spencer' (my family LOVE this shop and won't go anywhere else and it appears they've passed that onto me) and I have to say I was pretty impressed. Not by all of it obviously but if their mannequins are anything to go by then you could get some pretty on trend outfits from there. Their 'Indigo' section of jumpers and shirt dresses and woolly cardigans was actually pretty well thought out and even though one jumper will set you back £40 they're probably going to last you a lot longer than one from 'River Island' at the same price. (See! This is what I mean about strange behaviour! Saying things like THAT!)
I know we're getting into Spring now but I fall in love with this jumper everytime I go in the store. I love the cut out of it, the thickness and the colour and I know I'm not their target audience but with some ankle length black jeans, a leather jacket, boots etc it would go down very well. Besides, it's cold and I need the layers!
Today's outfit went like this: 'Topshop' top that I turned into an off the shoulder number...
Black 'Vans' and 'Topshop' Lacey jeans
Simples!
Rings by 'Pandora', I think they were about £35 each but the prices keep rising
Left to Right: 'FatFace', 'Elm', 'Chlobo' and 'Primark'. The 'Elm' and 'Primark' bracelets are one half of a set and my two best friends have the other halves. We did all used to have a green and purple friendship bracelet we found on a trip to the Lake District but after four years only one of us still has hers on!
As I was only going shopping and it's the weekend I went for shimmery eyes with a tiny bit of black eyeshadow and some bronzer and that was it. Since I started using eye cream and dying my eyelashes I don't have to wear as much eye make up to make them stand out. And can I also say that I've been using my 'Liz Earle' primer everyday and WOW! Best thing I've ever bought. Who would have thought one tiny little thing under your foundation could make such a massive difference!
