This week I made all about my friends and organised a night out in our old Uni town.
I've been really loving my MAC bronzer mixed with a tiny bit of 'Nars' blusher in the famous 'Orgasm' shade. When I originally bought this I thought it was too red toned for my skin shade and rarely ever used it. I've found mixed with the golden tones of the bronzer it really makes the apples of your cheeks pop.
I've found similar shades by 'Bourjois' that seem to be more pink toned and stay on a little better so I think for the price of 'Nars' you could find very similar ones with better staying power.
I've got a little addicted to these cami's by 'Topshop' which is unfortunate as they're £18 a go and we're getting into Autumn now. I just love them under cardigans and they're not too low, they just have a really nice shape to them and there's so many colours. I love a simple top so I can't say no!
For the big night out I wore my black jersey pencil skirt, crop top and 'Gwenda's', all by 'Topshop' of course. I had planned on wearing a playsuit but my little sister ROBBED it and it's unlikely I'll ever see it again so this was an outfit I grabbed mere moments before I went to get the train. I felt the skirt was a little too classy for the club we were going to so I rolled it up a tad and kept my hair down and my make up smokey.
Gorgeous friends!
We had an amazing night and it was lovely to catch up with everyone.
I went on a kind of 'date' later in the week. I say kind of because it's someone I've known for a long time so it was more of a catch up. I kept my make up super minimal as he's seen me without make up plenty of times so I didn't really have to dress up to impress him.
I just put concealer on my eyelids and no eyeliner whatsoever, just mascara.
I had an allergic reaction to my new 'Clinique' face cream so I had to go pretty heavy with the foundation but my natural face oils always seem to make it look nice and dewy rather than caked on. The difference is appying a little with the right brushes, letting it set and then going back later for touch ups if you have the time rather than doing three layers straight away.
I added a bit of lip balm and 'Whimsical' by 'Topshop' lipstick which is my all time favourite shade.
I wore my favourite cardigan by 'Primark' and 'Jamie' jeans, a burgundy pleated top and my 'Alexa' boots all by 'Topshop'.
I think the overall look was pretty casual and pared back but still girly without being really fashion. It's always hard to know what to wear on dates because guys tend to go really casual (especially younger guys). It's best to know the place you're going to so you know what the usual dress code is but more importantly just dress how you think is appropriate. If you feel super confident in what you're wearing whether that's a ball gown or board shorts.
