So this Saturday I went for lunch at my grandparents house which always turns out to be just buns and cakes, not that I'm complaining. They're almost 90 and they're always off gallivanting around the world and they look about 60. I definitely got any youthful genes from them! My Nanna puts it down to positive thinking and wearing Oil of Olay. They've just got back from a week in Tuscany where my Uncle and Aunt have a house in the hills looking down on Lucca. It is a mission and a half to get to! I love sitting and chatting with them because they're really opinionated and they've just about done everything there is to do. I remember when I was about 17 I went round really upset because my boyfriend had kissed another girl and my Nanna was like 'What's the big deal? It was just a kiss.' Literally nothing phases her! My Nanna used to work in a bank and my Grandad was an art lecturer and photographer so they balance each other out. I just think they're adorable. Thankfully they think I'm pretty great too.
After that I went off to The Trafford Centre with my Ma to pick up her visa as she's off travelling around Cuba next month. I can't even begin to express how jealous I am. In fact I can't even talk about.
Moving on!
I also want to say how much I ADORE this lipstick! I honestly haven't stopped wearing it and I may never stop. If you haven't read my previous pleats on it it is 'Pink Punch' by 'Loreal' and I am in love.
Happy little faces! It makes your eyes pop and your teeth appear whiter than white. I used to hate lipstick but now I can't stop. I only wear it if I have a bit of bronzer on and I try to keep all other make up to a minimum with very little foundation to give it a fresh, youthful 'I just threw this on and now I am rocking it' kinda look.
So once said Visa had been taken care of we split up and I went and sat on my own and had a cheeseburger and fries. Once that was out of the way I went for a good old mooch which was what half of the world seemed to be doing in The Trafford Centre as well. I don't know if it's just because we're in that weird transition where it's not quite Winter but Summer is kind of passing us by but we're in mid August so Autumn is just around the corner but there doesn't seem to be anything of any actual use in any shops. There are bikinis dotted around like ghosts in a graveyard at one end of the store whilst boots and coats are being paraded at the other end. Some people haven't even gone on their summer holidays yet let alone started thinking about chunky knit scarves. I couldn't find anything I wanted to buy. I think the only shop I'll shop in now is 'Urban Outfitters' but it's pretty pricey.
I found a cosy hoody I'd seen a girl in at the airport but this was a size 6 and I was drowning in it.
Then I found this bright yellow jumper for £12 from 'H&M' but I couldn't make up my mind about it. I guess I was in that kind of mood. Plus yellow is just such an odd colour I couldn't get on board. I think my other clothes might bully it for being different.
So after all that I came home with a big fat nothing.
I had plans to go out for some drinks with the chica's but circumstances changed and ended up at my best friends house eating freshly baked peanut butter cookies and watching back to back episodes of 'Girls'.
A chilled out Saturday in all, just the way I like them.
Bella
