So the holiday is over and it's back to real life. I don't know what happened to the weather whilst I was gone but it definitely doesn't feel like summer anymore. I had five days off after my holiday to re-cooperate which was just as well as I now have a major cold bordering on Greek flu.
I don't even have that much of a tan to show for my week sleeping in the sun! I took a before and after picture and you can't even tell the difference, although that does prove you can still get a decent tan in your back garden in the UK.
I think it's just that I put the light on the second time round or someone cleaned the mirror, boooo.
I've started running every night as well, I started the week before I went to Greece and I'm trying to carry it on. I got severely rained on on the above's little running trip and I refuse to run when it's daylight so it gets chilly.
I'm hoping to buy these bad boys soon:
Once I can actually run for ten minutes straight without having to stop for a walk I'm thinking of joining the womens hockey team in my villlage. It's a toss up between hockey and netball but I just remember the immense pleasure I got whenever I had to charge at someone and tackle them and my sports journal pages were full of 'woman of the match' comments. I've never had a regular 9-5 job where I can be sure I can always get to practises and drop everything for a match but now that I have weekends off I don't see why I couldn't.
If I can't change my diary around to fit in some kind of team sport it'll have to be the gym even if it means staying in one place for a year.
I'm trying to do the 50 squats a day challenge but I can only do 20 and I'm not even sure I'm doing them right. There seems to be different rules for tall people!
My favourite thing about going running is...there are no rules! There's no one in my ear telling me what I should and shouldn't be doing, I can stop or go slow or go faster or turn around or try a new track if I feel like it and you feel amazing afterwards. Sometimes I'll go for a full on sprint and sometimes it'll be a jog and a few walk offs.
I absolutely love this message from Nike:
In other more fashion based news...
I wore this 'Hollister' shirt and 'H&M' jeans out to dinner with my mum and sister at our favourite country pub.

I love when you've spent a day (or several) in the sun and your nose goes all freckly. I absolutely love freckles!! I can't stress that enough! If I'm ever doing anyone's make up for a night out I will always leave their freckles out because I think they're just gorgeous and give a really youthful feel to your face. If I'm talking to someone for the first time sometimes I'll just stop them mid conversation and have compliment them on their freckles because so many people hate theirs. My sister puts so much foundation on just to cover them up and I can't stand it, I'm always telling her off.
The best look is when you let your tan shine through and just cover up any dark circles and blemishes and then you can add a bit of blusher or shimmery bronzer to highlight your tan and then go nuts with lipstick or eyeshadow.
I've been throwing caution to the wind and going smokey and dark on my eyes and then finishing off with a berry pink lipstick just because soooo many girls look the same on a night out I don't want to look safe and samey as well. As long as you don't look majorly made up I think colour looks amazing on pretty much everyone. I've been wearing the same look during the day (even though all I've been doing is sitting in my pj's but hey whose judging?) because gorgeous make up shouldn't be kept just for nighttime.
It's so rare that I get even two days off together that four days has been like a mini vacation in itself! I've spent lots of time running after my dog Roxy who isn't used to having someone keeping her company, going for hot chocolates with friends and having my best friend round for our weekly DVD and reality TV night.
I love my reality TV!
The Hills is the original, well actually Laguna Beach but without one very important factor...Brody! I don't know how those girls coped with the sheer amount of boys and backstabbing that went on. I would have had a mini break down I think.
I couldn't find 'Girls' on ITunes anywhere so I had to order it off Amazon, the YouTube clips look funny as hell.
And my ultimate favourite indulgence...The Kardashians! I love these girls. Everyone thinks they're stupid and I'm not denying that but they also share a lot of the same values as most families and go through the same crap with relationships and siblings. Kim is my favourite just because she's really honest and she's pretty business savvy.
